Schwyberg mountain route

Plaffeien village square - L'Auta Chia - La Balisa - Seeweid - Schwarzsee - Lichtena - Gross Schwyberg - Gurli - Plaffeien village square.

The route first goes up (mostly on tarmacked lanes) passed Plasselb-Schlund. The top is reached at L'Auta Chia mountain hut - enjoy the spectacular views of the Gruyère region, of Charmey and Moléson, etc!

The route continues through the woods, then goes up to Bürglenberg. Here too the view is simply breathtaking!

The route takes you to La Balisa mountain dairy - with pleasure the mountain herdsmen serve snacks! After a swift descent you are in Schwarzsee. Follow the bike route along River Sense until you come to Lichtena. Then go up on the tarmacked lane to Schatters-Schwyberg.

The route goes along the ridge to Gross Schwyberg - one of the highlights of this route! Subsequently go down to Gurli mountain restaurant, where you will be gladly catered for.

Then return downhill to Plaffeien, where bike enthusiasts can romp around the bike course !
