A thematic walk through the vineyards of Vully, in both Fribourg and Vaud, helps you to understand the different stages involved in wine production.
At first the 5 km walk climbs through the vines in Sugiez and continues through the vineyards overlooking Nant and Praz to arrive at the pier in Môtier where the boats call. (Or it is of course possible to go in the other direction).
Sixteen information boards are situated at nine places along the way, chosen for the panoramic view they offer and the space available if you wish to make a pause. There you will find the history of wine-growing in the region, illustrations of the different sorts of grapes grown, explanations of the work involved in caring for the vines at different times of the year and the stages involved in wine production.
For the children, six panels with the mascot “Viny” recount the life of a bunch of grapes and thus how grape juice is made.
